Hello my beloved readership,
autumn/winter 2023/2024 set the statement of the self-determined woman and the corresponding style. This continues with baggy-pants and filigree combat boots.
29+1 – this is how everyone thankfully considered me when I came to the point that I became 30 on September 1st (which I did quite often that day as I started a new job). Here is what how I generally felt (or still feel) about 30 and my 30th birthday.
If you think 20 was a huge responsibility to take then welcome to the change of generations. Oh, how I wished I could be in my 20s again… Nah…! But I can only encourage everyone to enjoy their 20s as much as they can: Schools out and finally you can concentrate on projects and subjects you are actually interested in, studying, taking a peak into working life, finding yourself, possibly meeting your significant other, perhaps also having children and rediscovering the world through the innocent eyes of your children yet making experiences, trying things out and being responsible enough to grow with every experience for what is yet to come with the right ideals. I still remember how everyone told me back on my 20th birthday “30 is the new 20”. While in times of Amanda Carrington (“The Denver Clan”) or Prue Halliwell (“Charmed”) I did have great respect for women in their 20s who knew where they were standing in life and what exactly it was that they wanted I did in fact feel safe and calm knowing that nowadays I do have the time, ten more years, to still grow into that role as legal adult. So here I am ten years later and I must admit that the sorrow and struggles back then I still consider important and legit but the real problems you are bearing with you are just yet to begin. But I do not want to sound too pessimistic. Now that I had the time to grow into my age I realized on my birthday that all the trash I went through seems so trivial to care about it. I cherish what I have and I love where I am proudly looking back and what I have fought my way through to get here. I feel safe with the great people I take as ideals and I am not afraid to grow older. It is the complete opposite. The more I grow up the more I am looking forward to more achievements with growing age.
And finally I can say that the sentence “you are as old as you feel like” in fact makes sense.
“The cold and dark season of 2023/2024 is under the sign of the self-determined woman especially in means of fashion.”
Trend: Baggy-Pants
The cold and dark season of 2023/2024 is under the sign of the self-determined woman especially in means of fashion. But how would you express this? Powerful shoulder-pads have already shown here that these are worn by women you should fear. As a next step adopt rough typically unfeminine elements such as baggy pants. Sure, meanwhile with cargo pants or baggy pants are widely adopted for female fashion by high and low brands but still they are breaking the view of the kind woman willing to take your orders but ready to fight. You can see this in my rather male pose of sitting too in the fourth photo.
Trend: Filigree Combat Boots
What are the shoes that self-determined, rebellious woman are wearing? Yes, combat boots, of course. In combination with the baggy pants I wore you create the ultimate soldier-look like this (after all I do feel like a soldier whenever I am wearing combat boots since I could make my sister catch her train back home even if we seemed already late). More than a rebel I feel like an unbeatable heroine who can make anything possible. But unlike last year as I have shown you here this year the trends rather goes in direction of filigree combat boots which you could wear to more than rebellious occasions.
