Denim For June: Losing In Order To Win

Hello my dear readership,

denim for June, may it be eye-make-up that represents the popularity of blue eye-make-up in general or oversized denim. See how to combine these trends.

If you are aiming to win you greed grows to have it all and once this takes place with that the recklessness of people grows with it. It is kind of understandable, you do not want to leave anything to chance and assure yourself that nothing stand between you and the biggest amount of success and everything that comes with it: fame, appreciation, glow (things you think of in the first place when you associate it with winning). Let me tell you more: already from a very early age [I skip to say “we” at this place] parents are teaching their children to be the best, the first, have the most. Like they need to have this measure to give their personal value a number. Also children very quickly learn that “fun about participating is just something for losers” (we always hear them saying that their parents say so when using this expression and they consider it to be right).

Lately I also catch my five-year-old son aiming to make a race about every step he takes with his two-year-old sister always cheering about himself to be the first. Do not ask me what exactly it is but something about this annoys me completely. And I am not alone with that. My husband also reached his limits of patience with that – especially when our son starts crying and screaming like a baby once he does not win or is kept to win by one of us. Yes, I do want him to give his best; yes, of course I will be happy and about his reaching the most possible success; but no, winning at all costs is not worth it because, yes, it is moreover important that he learns that participating together as a team and being happy about your competitors success is just as important or even more important than your personal win because, again yes, it is as well important to be good “loser” with pride, see your strengths, accepting your weaknesses (read here about acceptance) and see the added value in the overall experience rather than being the first always.

If you always win you will only lose interest in developing yourself further to improve or grow over yourself but if you see where you are stuck with your qualities and meet someone who schools you differently you will develop a down-to-earth-attitude and gain more than a prize which is even more precious than this prize. And if you win do not neglect to motivate your fellows to grow to your level and share your success with them.

“I am wondering in how far I would need to separate trends to highlight them.”

Trend: Oversized Denim

When I think of oversize denim I am thinking of overly baggy pants or my literally oversized denim jackets from Zara or Her Bright Skies which I got in sizes that are bigger than those I usually wear that still give me an amazing style whenever I wear them. But let us think in other dimensions. It is not always the obvious that is the one and only right way. What about turning a summer dress into an oversized denim vest suitable for a wintry June? On top I still succeeded to make this a clean look that works for the office as well. To underline the oversized-denim-look I have chosen so called “poptrash” pants that are also known as “jogpants” according to the label s.Oliver which are supposed to give classic suits a casual look. As these are originally widely cut on top like jogging-pants in usual but serve as chic pants they do underline this oversized-denim-look.

Make-Up-Trend: Colorful Eyes/Denim Eyes

Fashion-trends are fashion-trends and make-up-trends are make-up-trends. What I mean to say by that is that basically trends should probably be highlighted separately rather than summed up as I have done ever since I left my parental home and needed to make-up blog-posts because there was always something in between (marriage, children, studies, more studies, jobs, et cetera). And as I make them up and get up-to-date I am wondering in how far I would need to separate trends to highlight them. Basically when I shoot a look I put on make-up so why could I not combine a denim-clothes trend with a trend that goes all for blue eyes? May it be generously painted blue eyes, a classic eyeliner in denim blue or other kinds of blue make-up, for June – or summer in general – 2023 blue eye-make-up is a popular trend all the way for which this rather clean make-up is just the least you could do.
