The Bomber Jacket: Copying Or Trending?

Hello my dear readership,

our good old friend since we were young is celebrating its return: the bomber jacket. One of the first to wear this trend were again one of my good old friends.

That is it, I have had enough!

Hey! To all those out there who call one of my dearest people a copycat. You will first have to pass me now before going on with her!

“Copying”, come on, how old are we? 13? Where do we find ourselves? At junior high school? If I were you (even though I am the happiest to not be you) I would be ashamed to act so childish. How about I also completely copy the style of someone? Then you could also call me a copy.

In fact it often happened that at least the band members of Vanilla Ninja had worn styles before they were cool, I had written about it here among others and in many articles more not at last lately in the article about the trendy combat boots. A few weeks, months or years later you see styles or key-items by Vanilla Ninja ruling the world of fashion.

Of course, now you could say that they probably do not dress to impress or set trends consciously but rather because they simply identify with this style. So you could wonder if it is alright “stealing their style”. However sometimes you have to see someone wearing a style or styling an item to find it for yourself. This is what idols can be for. At the same time you can be happy when by accident your idol and you are wearing the same style.
Guess what, also designers can be inspired by their fans/customers for their next fashion collection.

To sum it up, you have to grow out of this silliness to accuse someone to steal someone else’s style. Our name is not written on everything. The fashion industry will be happy about public personalities moving someone additionally wear their fashion. This is how it would go and besides from that what may be looking like someone copying someone obvious may have its roots somewhere else.

Autumn Must-Have: The Bomber-Jacket

Cool, cooler, autumn — and I do not even mean the temperatures that are dropping down. Autumn since this year has been a crazy season: not only because the whole Corona-rules, of which we thought that normal is never going to be the way we have once known it, were finally repealed entirely but furthermore because you never know when the actual cold would be hitting. I had taken out my leather jacket as well as scarves and pullovers and realized that I do not necessarily need them. You know the old rule: for autumn you need to wear a layer-look and always be prepared for rainy weather – especially in Hamburg. You could not do this better than with a short-cut bomber jacket to which you can at least add a hoodie and t-shirt.

My look my look very much like it would be leaning on Vanilla Ninja’s outfits but in fact it is a homage to my favorite male character from Tekken 8, Jin Kazama. ©2022 Fall4Me
