One of Dalai Lama’s meaningful and powerful philosophies is the following: “Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck.”

When I came across this quote lately it was like the recent events passed through my inner eye. Finally I remembered the words of a very wise woman that I cherish a lot: “Remember my words, soon you will go to your ex-boss and thank him for this outcome.”

She directed me these words when I told her about the termination of my job. My first reaction was: knocking at his door (symbolically) and thanking this frigid jerk? Never! Not even if things turn out good he wouldn’t deserve it and his army of false snakes pretending to be his right hand neither.

Meanwhile I’m more in peace with me and managed to distance myself from the happenings as well as from the people. Nonetheless it doesn’t keep me to occasionally speak out some truths if necessary. But in fact the quote of Dalai Lama hit differently now. I know where I am going and I see the purpose and even if it has not brought the necessary need I am doubtlessly certain that it will pay off. One day. Soon.

As you know it is always some kind of grab bag for me to check the good-luck-charms in particular the lucky colors for the upcoming year when it comes to the end of the ongoing year. But after all these years I kind of grew tired at the about the thought that it would be any shade of blue, silver or white – just like each year. At least it feels like it. The more I was positively surprised about the lucky colors for 2025 according to the Chinese calendar. Black and gold, among others. “Add something red to it (which marks another lucky color of the year) and you have the German flag” (or the Belgian as I realize now). Well, I chose my two preferred ones among the colors of the year 2025 and posed my hands with a red lipstick, my signature. To keep it festive I had chosen a shiny coating as last time the shiny nails gained quite some attention and compliments.
