Hello my beautiful readership,
the autumn-trend this year says that we cannot get enough of denim from head to toe. Check out the style here, what to wear with it and how to wear it.
BYON. BYON? We all know the term BYOB – be your own boss – but BYON? It is not about being your own boss and not let anyone tell you anything but rather more introspective. Being your own number means to stand to your decisions and not look around what happens and how others do things. Sometimes you just have to do things your way and even if the people in your life do it differently it does not mean it is better or correct or that you failed. That is something I had to learn and realize myself: My life looks a little bit different from my friends. While they seem to be able to handle a certain situation I had to make a cut – for my own sake. Even if I mentioned the latter I still struggled to completely accept the situation that I created – with the support of my husband – myself. And even his support could not take my restlessness away. Did he fail as husband? Definitely it was not his fault otherwise my dearest sister who said “forgiveness needs change” when I exchanged my thoughts and worries with her could not completely help me when I actually thought she was close to that because her words and actions usually are meaningful and ideal for me.
So when emotionally I was unable to store the load at its corresponding place I needed to be talked to in the most rational way: BYON – be your own number. There is no right, no left, not addition and nor alternative. You create the rules and act according to them. I had to learn that my situation is not someone else’s situation (that of my close friends’) also I learned that just because I had bad experiences I do not need to destroy the bubble of my sister which I certainly secretly tried to in my disguise. Finally BYON hit so differently that the weirder it sounded the cooler it was. I did not need to be like someone else to find recognition. I just have to stand bold in order to protect myself and the treasures around me. Finally BYON seems to be the new advanced BYOB to me that will establish for good. No expectations, no pleasings.

Trend: Denim on Denim
If grey, wool and the all clean cut, like the one I showed you here, is not your thing do not worry. There is an additional trend in autumn as fresh alternative: Denim all over. While I chose to wear an overall style-guides suggest you to wear your denim all over look in two pieces. I somehow felt like highlighting my outfit I wore on the second day of “Die Küchenschlacht”. That is how I also tried to re-style my hair accordingly however with a denim-style Alice-band. In the end I thought to myself that wearing two almost same structured and colored denim on top and bottom which would resemble an overall I would as well wear an overall all along. In the show I was given my signature red lipstick. Even though it is not coped to the trend red is like an unwritten must-add to blue jeans to make it look absolutely flawless. That was how I added a red scrunchie as bracelet in replace.
