Hello my beloved readership,
an accentuated waist meets fur and folklore: You can wear one outfit and still rock it with three (or even four trends). Check them out in detail in the following.
To all people who feel overwhelmed with my constant presence (even in a remote way via modern telecommunication). To those who also feel harassed when I ask “Why do you not text or call if you are close by (especially when you usually live in different cities)?” – maybe this one will hit differently: We take time and life for granted not feeling the need to meet up when we could. We rather push other things forward (duties, incidents, situations). And then you suddenly hear about the passing of someone you held close in your heart and wonder “why?!”, deeply in regret that you had not used the time and opportunity better. You get that? What does this do to you now?
Personally, I think I believe people who tell you they would cross miles, oceans and other obstacles for you and do not give up from the first given incident. Because it shows that you are important to them and if you are nothing seems to big to surpass any longer. It is not about what is happening or not happening around you because doubtlessly we all have our personal wars to fight every day but the choice you decide to make.
Last year my grandmother died. I was finally ready to talk about it here. She was like the mother I always wished for: strict, (unfair when I was younger) but finally meaningful in the most important years of my life when it was about building up my own life independently. I dare to say that she was not always right but I understood what she meant and we were fine and in good terms. So much that I still hold on to her in spirit even now. To be honest I resisted to see her as often as I probably could have since she lived with my parents and I (for the sake of my children and marriage) decided to take my distance. I accepted everything that came with it. I missed to celebrate her 90th birthday but luckily I could take care of during the last two months of her life visiting her in hospital almost every day. In between she returned home when she was with my parents again and the visits got rarer again. It was what it was and then she passed away. I received these news late in the evening through a call from my father and I was completely torn away between everything (driving to hospital or staying with my family, work or a sick-leave, presence in office and accepting calls, the ability to talk but breaking out in tears out of control instead…) but as much as I talk about it I remain saying “thank God!”.
While my mother resisted to come and visit us in our new apartment my husband and I can count my grandmother having made that up even twice or thrice. But furthermore (and this is the point) as if God had whispered we spontaneously visited my parents as well as my grandmother two days before her passing. This is a chance I will never forget and be always thankful for. She used her chances and so did it.
My people, if I bother you and the more I feel like I bother you I actually show you that I love you, very much. That is why I did and will keep on overwhelming you with my presence and love. I know people are different and so deal they with things, this is my way of dealing. So I do not expect it from you but I will do so as much as I can.
Trend: Waist Belt
Elegance hits this season. Not only with clean cuts and clear shades which I have already presented you here. But it is also giving women their female flair with an accentuated waist for every given occasion. The waist belt can and even should be worn over your winter coat as well as to your indoor outfit conjuring a beautiful and commonly known wasp waist.
“Fur, yes, but only if you fake it.”
Trend: Fake Fur
Fake it but don’t break it – you are not going to anyway. Because you will be the star on the streets with luxury from the outside and consciousness as well as reasonability from a closer look. The fashion industry is aware of the responsibility it bears towards the climate change. And so the most disputed fashion piece, fur, has finally found its place in the world of fashion. People do not want to have real fur anymore. They grew disgusted by the thought that an animal should have died for the status symbol of someone. Furthermore the common tone goes the direction that fur too much reminds of Russia and the former UdSSR-lifestyle. And since the aggressive Russian war against Ukraine is ongoing having turned the world almost entirely against the Slavic state the anti-fur-movement is growing even more. Fur, yes, but only if you fake it.
Trend: Folklore
Hey ho, let’s go, folklore and rock ‘n’ roll! Folklore elements are quite popular when it comes to the festival season in summer and everyone lets out their inner hippie within the frames of the Bohemian style. But in this year we do not want to miss the catchy traditional florals for the cold season. Look just how wonderfully for instance a traditional Ukrainian scarf looks underneath a black winter coat. It hints not only to the color of your dress underneath but also to another essential winter-trend: Color – the stronger the better.
