the all-time popular season-must have goes a celebrated summer-trend: shorts. Check out the style about the legs and your ultimate summer make-up here.

Are you also suffering from strong feelings of guilt when you start talking about your needs and desires? Is “no” also not a part of your vocabulary? Have you come to the limits of what your psychology is able to bear? Hey, sister; hey, brother, what you need is personal boundaries. Yes, boundaries. Do not be afraid of this infamous term. There are always going to be people to blame you for following your passions or satisfying your own needs for the sake of your own peace. Trust me, you are doing enough, more than enough! You have been sacrificing so much to make others happy. At some point it is time to pay yourself something back. What does it help and where is this supposed to go when pleasing others recklessly endless greed happens at the cost of your very own existence? You are a human being who is also allowed to follow its dreams and passions without needing to justify itself towards anyone. You hear me? Anyone.

Just imagine this: You did not actually have a real childhood when you were young. You were kept in this golden cage which you never tried to break out of – either out of fear or out of a very wrong sense of duty. Then, by luck, you find your soulmate, you get married believing you would escape this prison just to trap and fall deeper into a twice-locked one. Crazy, is it not? So instead of gaining autonomy and independence with the rules you make up within the frames you set up it becomes even worse because you now bear the burden of two unhealthy greedy sides on your shoulders and pull your partner with you into these cages. A horrifying scenario, is it not?

At some point we simply need to make our point clear “until here and not further!”. It does not matter whom we set this boundary towards. May it be our declared worst enemy or the person closest to us whoever it might be. We need boundaries because they protect us. We need to recharge because we do go out of energy. That is why we need boundaries. We need to protect ourselves from exhaustion and worse things. But first we need to set our boundaries. We must not feel guilty for setting them. Whoever respects and cherishes you will understand and accept them with no blame. The others, you can forget about them anyway.
One more advice from my side? Communicate your boundaries clearly. Be honest and direct. Talk about how you feel and what is going on. No one will blame you for caring for your self. It is ok to need a break once in a while. They make us keeping on working.

Trend: Shorts

Summer screams for shorts. Especially this summer it is all about legs – perhaps as a result of the passed autumn/winter 2023/2024 which was all under the sign of self-determination which I wrote about from here on? At least, if you ask me, shorts make a good alternative for miniskirts. The more I love the glamour that the shorts-trend brings with it this summer. Shorts are in the spotlight for special occasions as well as high-fashion looks. Personally, I think about this even being a call to just dress-up without any special occasion given but just like that to show what you have got and to simply make a statement of who you are. Remember fashion is self-expression, so give yourself the highest grade.

Summer Make-Up: Gold x Purple

The golden autumn is yet to come but summer is a time to glow anyway. Especially the beach kissed by the sun and the high party-life up to the very late night give you a great stage and runway to shine in your full beauty. As the moment of walking out of the water and being embraced by the sun could not be more epic the trend-make-up is aiming to exactly that: Gold, focus on eyes as well on lips to lift yourself up from average everyday-life and a touch of purple accents enchanting this gold. This effect creates the summer-make-up which you would never be misplaced with. Some additional make-up-trends that I had already presented you not long ago are pink eye-shadow on the one hand here and a fierce red eye-liner on the other hand here.
