Hello my beloved readership,
what color are your holiday nails? Indeed, the flag’s color of the country you are traveling to. Check out my Estonia nails with a special technique here.
You do not travel when you have people who make you feel home. “Home far away from home”, I first heard this expression 14 years ago when I interviewed the first bassist and singer of my favorite band Vanilla Ninja, Maarja Meriste-Kivi, then known as Marya Roxx after a concert in Hamburg. Ever since I loved this beautiful expression and found more meaning in it as I grew and developed on my own and with my life-partner, my husband. I wonder how my children must think and feel about it, we travel away from home and wherever we go we find again familiar faces. I think that then it is no surprise that our children enjoy travelling and do not see an obstacle but rather an opportunity in it. Sometimes the ways may be hard but the destination is worth it. At the same time it can as well be exciting. You know what we say about it: A very long journey begins with one single step [Laotse] and the route is the goal.
We have traveled to many different destinations, as you can see here, and there have always been people who make us feel welcome and home no matter if we have known them as friends and considered family or simply because of their very hospitable spirit. Our children may not always understand why we would need to say goodbye for the moment and why this lies emotionally hard but they definitely keep the very good memories living until the next meeting which makes them feel like no time has passed in between. Especially when our friends unite with us with their children and regardless from any language barrier it feels like a happy family union you do not want to end but build up the more the time together passes. Not only political-economically the world becomes your home with transnational unities such as the European Union but also thanks to the open hearts of wonderful that return the appreciation you have towards them.
So if you read this and know that you are meant: thank you for your love and welcoming heart and the wonderful experiences and memories shared and built together.

While I wanted to have a chrome nail art for this special occasion – on the one hand our holiday of the year and on the other hand travelling to a country that is so special to me – my nail stylist who is also one of the owners suggested me another nail-style which was equally eye-catching. This one is called “cat eye”-nail-style. The nail-art has its name from the commonly known effect you also find on colorful jewelry which has a narrow oval shimmer in the center similar to the shape of a cat’s eyes. I always pick a special technique for my nails when I get my discount every tenth time I do my nails. Even then my nail art is more reasonable than usual to the happiness of my husband. With the two shades of blue it was like having all three colors of the Estonian flag (blue, white and black) on my nails with just two colors. You should definitely check this one out with any color of your choice.
Huge thanks to Hanny Beautiful Nails. Check them out here.
Love, Johanna
