Accessory Of The Month: The Red Scarf – What Makes You Sick

Hello my beloved readership,

you asked for it and I am working to slowly but surely bring it back: the accessory of the month launching in April 2024 with a red scarf. Check it out here.

What makes you sick?

No, I do not mean infections due to lack of hygiene. Of course, infections make the sickness break out in the end but what I am talking about are the serious to take roots of what makes you sick. These are is weakening your immune system to increase the sicknesses and lie way deeper than just the obvious.

Have you every heard of the saying “this makes me sick!”?

Have you ever wondered why people have been saying so?

No, stating that something or someone makes you sick is not just an exaggerated way to put on unnecessary drama. In fact, doctors often refer to psyche and stress when somatic values show no conspicuousness. Also I do hear my friends telling about people they know who have been seriously sick for a longer period when they fall into heavy life situations such as angst.
Out of personal experience, I would describe it the following way: Every time I get into a heavy clash with someone so much that it stresses me out I get sick. When I puzzle my over a situation as a result of this clash I know that this cannot go well. There have been longer periods of hopelessness and desperation that stressed me to hell, especially when these situations went beyond my control. And even if I was not sitting by idly I felt the cold sweat of fear on my forehead thinking “damn, what am I going to do if plan A, B, C or D will not work out?” – I told one of my most trusted and best friends last year in spring that I feel like whatever I do I do not get well and stumble from one sickness to the next. I was absolutely desperate and clueless. And this is what she told me: My situation reminded her of one of the people she knew who also lost something from one day to the other on top of having a partner with a heavy disease and you simply did not recognize this person any longer. I must admit that such a situation seemed familiar to me.

You are uncertain and feel insecure. That is why you are afraid and stress. Your life feels like a house of cards that could fall down from the slightest move. You do what you can and it feels like it is not enough. And if all of this was not enough you get sick – just what you needed. Your soul cannot bear it any longer that is why it sends you signals and affects your body.

Meanwhile I also find myself getting sick on or as a result of important events thinking “damn it”.

It is true what they say: Stress is the worst cause of sicknesses. It comes all from the psyche. That is why even I often step back at a certain point thinking: “Okay, I have to be economical with my energy.”

“There is only one color that flatters every woman (…)”

Favorite Piece: Red Scarf

“I’ve never seen you looking so gorgeous as you did tonight” this is the first line of the famous song “Lady In Red” by Chris de Burgh. Maison Valentino seemed to have understood this and sets a trend of the woman to wear crimson for her evening gown. Valentino’s style suggestion? Wearing flats to fighlight the clue of the red dress. And what would a lady wear to an evening gown instead of a jacket? Indeed, a shawl – especially for a light spring/pre-summer breeze. Therefore I think that the little red dress and the red scarf make a perfect match together. There is only one color that flatters every woman and this is red. You always catch people’s attention in a positive way with a fancy red scarf on your shoulders or around your neck.

Trend: Tote Bag

Another it-piece of the season makes the tote-bag. To outline the meaning and highlight the difference to other bags the tote bag basically describes the bags that you got to know from any store (grocery, drug, clothing) made of cloth and having a cool saying, the logo of a shop or art printed on it. While first one to three euros rather seemed to much to pay for a shopping bag the movement of sustainability made a whole fashionable phenomenon of it. Designers who follow the movement are creating their very own interpretation of the tote bag – a bag you can simply throw everything into – and sell it as popular fashion-piece for an at least triple digits price and if you do it like Liz Malraux, who replaces her cartonlike shopping bags you get one for free with your shopping achievements, why not?
