best of 2023 – You have voted, here are the results: your favorite look, nail-art an make-up by Fall4Me. Take a closer look in the following.

I better not tell you where and when I find myself while writing these lines. It is an even bigger mess than last year probably where someone out of my head would completely lose the overview. But I am assuring you that I am better on my way to clear this up than last year. Anyway the best looks meaning the look, nail art and make-up of 2023 that have been voted as favorites by my followers on Instagram (@JohannaKarajan) long ago and now it is more than about time to present them to you:

Best of: Favorite Look 2024

My favorite look of 2023 is something you might be calling unconventional or unspectacular. Listening to the VOGUE judging a recent outfit of Princess Catherine it might even be close “to breaking a fashion rule”: dark blue and black – in spring of 2023 the “color-lesson 2.0” to rethink color-combinations which you usually would not wear was quite a trend. Personally, I would not claim that this was the best look I actually wore that year but I do consider this quite a coincidence as this look bears a special meaning. I had it on when I headed to a couple that belongs to our very best friends by car to have an interview with them at their home and I did wear the leather pants to wipe off the pet hair (cat) easily. The denim-blouse was supposed to combine business and casualty.

Anyway even though we live in the same city a highway leads to them (alternatively of course also a way apart from it). And if you have not known by now there is nothing I hate more than the acceleration lane. Yes, you guess it right, I had a traumatic experience connected with it which caused this and makes me break my head over it when I think that I need to drive that one (apart from being generally a good driver). Anyway a long talk with the couple helped to take the road back through the highway which was much easier and more chilled. All I needed to do is to focus and concentrate. Best of: Favorite Nail-Art

The favorites maintain blue. Well… not entirely. But furthermore they maintain meaningful. Blue and green were supposed to be the lucky colors of 2023. Especially these particular shades combined together give me a feeling of sanctuary. In times when when you turn off your feelings to protect yourself and stand like a strong wall it feels good to have something that reactivates your soft side within protected borders and makes you reconnect with your emotions again. This is how I feel about this nail art every time I watch it. I feel warm at heart and good and I know that not the whole world is as bad and negative and needs to be fought through as it seems. Lucky colors indeed to always bring my feet back to the ground. Review this nail-art once again here.

Best of: Favorite Make-Up

Pink, pink and more pink – this favorite one breaks it all: the rules as well as the usualness. Pink is not something I would count to my personal favorites nor is it something that I can connect to the two other favorites in any way. There is just one funny story about this style on the whole: “Please always wear pink when we visit strange cities that are crowded”, my husband asked me as he liked how easily he could find me in this eye-catching outfit. If this also corresponds to my make-up…? This one rather looks reduced but maybe this is what my followers liked even more about this make-up? Another idea could be that I probably caught more tasted with more pink-lovers among my followers. Anyway that year nothing was more en Vogue than pink and for me it was quite a good occasion to wear pink on pink. Review the complete style here.

About 2024

You guessed it correctly, 2025 is already ongoing. Many huge changes took place but also the long period of sicknesses does not want to seem to come to an end. Sadly the looks are not all up yet – neither on the blog nor on Instagram. But one day I have got to catch up. And trust me, I will. Until then stay tuned.
