Trend-Color #2 – Light Grey: Did I Mess Up?

Hello my beloved readership,

after lemon-yellow the second of the three must-wear trend-colors is light grey. See here how to style the look and combine it with a major make-up trend.

You wanted to help people who made themselves the victim, you wanted to create a healthy, honest environment. You wanted to raise people’s awareness for tolerance and comprehension towards people who are different, keep the team together and realize your own ideas. You trusted too much, too fast and were man enough to stand-up and clear things on a diplomatic mutual level. You also worked your butt off as if the burden of the whole thing was lying on your shoulders and brighten up the mood.

And what was the result of all of this? You are the one who is kicked out. You are out, out, nothing but out and again out. This was how you were thanked.

If you had just known some things which you know now… well, that is another topic. What matters now is the question every normal person would ask themselves: Did I mess up? Blaming oneself is not just an idiom expression. In fact already since the Holy Bible we have already been taught that it is not on us to judge others but ourselves. The rest is up to God. But who wants to be taught anything nowadays…?

Still, having this question in mind you may wonder about this one. Some others might tell you that “it just did not match”. I however belong to those overthinking people who are looking for the meaning of life and the reason behind everything. So I just cannot accept such a statement (which does not mean that I would not cherish those people in my life). Therefore I analyze successes and errors and pull a conclusion – otherwise you can just say that I am learning from the experiences I made searching for the answer what I could do next time. Because unlike relying on my “perfect match” and waiting for it to find me or searching for it myself according to “match or next” I believe in the perfect match through compromises, communication and hard work (specially because none of us can actually look into one’s heart, mind and spirit and actually tell this is your perfect match or not, and once you have made your decision there is hardly a returning back.

However I am aware that not everyone has this way of thinking and, no, this is not just a way to becalm myself in the veils of a beautiful lie. But I can say for sure that people who made you leave covering their actual reasons behind w h a t e v e r in fact could not cherish you, regarded you as personal threat and are far away from your level of social and informed intelligence to keep up with you. So what would be left for them to do? You know it, insulting, putting you down, turning you the evil one. Make your genius leaving. Stay tuned when I talk about this one in the future.

Trend: Light Grey

After or besides from lemon yellow, for which had presented you a style here not long ago the next must-wear trend-color. Unlike or ahead of yellow adding black or white to complete your look is less of a neutral contrast here but rather a natural belonging to a look in grey all over as the lightest shade of grey would turn to white and the darkest shade of it would correspond to black.
More than that I found it genius that while it is generally impossible to build up a matching suit out of two different items of two different collections let go of different labels (the exactly matching color, pattern, fabrics….). I succeeded to create a complete suit of my Clockhouse blouson jacket and my jog-pants by Orsay. Adding my classic checked VANS to it was just the cherry on the top. Grey mouse with a grey t-shirt? Not with the letter t-shirts by Tallinn Dolls which have a beautiful flower pattern around the letter. What would you choose? The letter of your first name or the letter of the first name of someone you cherish?

Make-Up Trend: Black Lips

If you thought that dark berry lips are heavy then check this out: it gets even heavier with black lips – and not only or not at all for Halloween! Black lips are the least you could wear in this self-determined, rebellious autumn of 2023. And thinking of the above mentioned light grey look and the additional colors you could wear to complete your look if the colors themselves are too much for you adapting your make-up on point to the look you are wearing is the absolute pro-league of wearing a style.
Attention: Make-up experts still support the point-of-view that either your lips or your eyes not(!) both should be emphasized at once for a look suitable for everyday life. That is why I kept it rather natural with my eyes.
