Basic 2.0: Possible Repetitions

Hello my dearest readership,

back to basics turns basic 2.0. Yes, the blue jeans and white shirt are back for autumn and there are added two make-up trends to it. Check it out here.

“Have you not written about this once?”, “I am sure I’ve read about this once on your blog…!”, a legit question as well as a legit remark. Also I am sometimes wondering if I have not written about a topic once latest before I set the title and wonder if I would bore you with the topic in case that I would have written about it already once I have finished the article. But I have found a way to come to peace with myself and not overthink this one too much. The secret lies in the resources I have. I could of course go and check more than five-hundred looks and 100 nail-arts and whatever I have written about over the past ten years on two domains but what would be the point of this? Waste of a precious good of time in a period when I have to make up almost two years of blogging when I do not know when the writing block would hit next?

Sometimes you in fact have to let it go and say that it is ok the way it is (but not jumping from autumn 2022 to almost summer 2024 you know how I mean it here). Then let it be that a topic on the whole sounds familiar to you as well as me, so what? The worst thing that could happen is a better version coming out of this. After all it is also natural to reconsider the same topics more than once at different stages of your life and come to different conclusions anyway. Also as much as I would welcome you as new reader of this blog to dive deep and discover the looks that could be inspiring despite the trends (whereas also these relaunch frequently) it could not harm to have a fresh up on the one or other topic. You do not think so?

“As we are talking about basic 2.0 the white shirt may be a little bit fancy such as containing label-logos […] all over.”

Back to Basics: Blue Jeans White Shirt

Basics are back for autumn or should I rather say that basics are reaching the next for the next year coming(?) Blue jeans, preferred in a wide-leg-cut are worn with nothing less than their perfect match: the white shirt. As we are talking about basic 2.0 the white shirt may be a little bit fancy such as containing label-logos (in my case the ribbons as Tallinn Dolls signature) all over.

To this clothing-trend I have combined or rather added a make-up-trend of the season, too: smokey-eyes and lipliner lips in an intense chocolate brown. For those among you who are thinking if the lipliner should stand out or not the answer is the following. Experts (hair- and make-up-artists) say for the moment that the lipliner should support the lipstick to look flawless on your lips. Therefore you should make sure to either catch the matching colour of lipstick and lipliner or draw the lines along your lips with the tip of the lipstick you are using. For now lipliners in different (especially darker) colours are as much of a no-go as the combination of silver and gold once was.

Having this in mind, who knows, maybe one day it will be different.
