Hello my dear readership,

a summer without denim – casual elegance – the leather of the hot season? Indispensable! Denim suits everyone, is accurate for any occasion and that is why with denim we take it easy.

It is funny, my parents always keep telling me to take things easy – I return the ball telling them not let trivial things get too much into their heart, I am easier with life than my younger (or let us say less experienced) fellows and whether on TV or in real life I notice that adolescent children tend to be more uneasy than their parents. It is an elder thing, I believe but no, no this has by far not been the whole story. Therefore easiness is a too major one-man-show to be branded easily and briefly like this. But easiness is something I have tackled in these 15 months of motherhood. My personal favorite sentence had become: “I am too tired, too busy and too stressed to get additional stress with this.” and this is basically it(!) as mother you either become dead of nerves to everything that does not affect the core of your life or you cannot handle anything anymore, which would not be good neither fore you and furthermore nor for your child, always remember, as a mother you have to become a lioness, the queen of the animals who ignores everything that is weaker than her but is able to tear any kind of danger or harm apart.

It is understandable, our children and we compared to our parents have not gone through all the experiences they have went through, therefore it is just natural to not be able to take things easy (we are not emotionless monsters after all). We are yet to get over the one other thing to understand the obstacle, be able to handle it and pass it on to our children. That is my way of thinking: In a few years I am to be the firm rock to my children, teach them the world and support them at their sad points so I just cannot surrender to an (in the aftermath) meaningless thing by now.

In fact, whether we take new unknown ways or experience something unusual it is not going to be easy for us until we got over it once and mastered it. But my parents’ advice (meanwhile also my husband’s) is not a bad or wrong one: things are not as bad as they seem, what does not kill us makes us stronger and there is a solution for every issue in this world so take it easy. Maybe summer and its call for easiness is going to lend you a good hand. Be easy with everything then your whole surrounding will be easy for you.

Did Someone say Elegance?

Do you remember when I worried about the possible loss of the elegance I was famous for? Easiness and denim are the new elegance. We have had it with Athleisure three years ago and our favorite jog-suits that will not leave the international catwalks and now denim is back to join the party. Denim grew up, to an unbeaten all-rounder, it adapts to everything and anyone because it suits everything and everyone and it is – as I crowned it – the leather of summer: Cool, timeless, classy. Denim, the casual elegance is the easy way of the strict sophisticated elegance.
