Dear readers,
you need both yellow sunshine and navy blue rain in order to create a beautiful rainbow. Remember that life consists of both sunshine after the rain and how important it is that one follows after the other sooner or later. In the following I want to give you a workout with words in order to prepare you for the upcoming year.
It was hard… but in the end I have found a way and I feel better than before… or I am starting to gain hope and positive belief again. Happy ends do not only exist in fairy tales, happy ends essential part of our life and therefore included in fairy tales and stories of our lives. Every beginning may be hard because at first we do not know how to handle a (new) situation but as we learn it things could not go better.
The most essential way to imagine it is a child which is learning to walk on two feet: it is trying because it wants to achieve something, it is falling and hurting itself – tears are running down the cheeks as rain is falling recklessly down from the sky not sparing us – but a child keeps going. Until it works.
The more we have grown, the more we have forgotten about the child in us and what it has achieved to bring us where we are at this age of ours. At one point we have start to become constantly and prejudicedly afraid of the rain and the harm and uncomfortableness it brings with it. On days like these we just want to hide at home in order not to get caught by it. Like this we are trying to preventively escape hardships of life before they even happen (or not).
When have we started to become such cowards and scaredy-cats? When have we stopped trying things our and discover the world with open arms…? It is not wrong to be cautious but we would never learn or go on to cherish the sun when we would not have the rain. We may often curse the rain but after many long days of endless seeming hot sun we start to miss it. Therefore remember, we need this rain – the hardships of life – in order to cherish the sun and the glowing moments of joy and to learn and develop from them. One cannot exist without the other but what you need to keep in mind is not to lose your openness completely to caution and that after hardships moments of joy will come on their very own almost as a connected guarantee.
“We have forgotten about the child in us.”

Navy & Yellow Because a Rainbow Needs Rain as well as Sun
Personally, I have discovered this color combination of navy blue (in a denim shape) and sun yellow on the February collection of the s.Oliver sportswear s.Oliver ACTIVE. As this fashionable sportswear is made to be suitable for everyday-life I have adapted this style in particular the colors to a sporty and smart office outfit. The colors along with this collection looked so strong yet boosting to me that I have understood that this is something to last longer than just one collection and in addition transmits strength right at the beginning of the new year for what is to come.
Yellow and blue – two colors so different yet so harmonizing together. Trends are given by nature: if it works in the nature it harmonizes in an outfit. That is the rule, simple but clear. So why do they work so well with each other and how come I have created these feelings of strength and boost? Because as sun shines after a (heavy) rain we are able to observe a rainbow – a fairy tale come true beautiful as magical to our senses.
